Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini for bookkeeping: which one, and does it matter?

Use the assistant you already pay for. With GrowMore, Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini reach the same 44 tools through the same MCP server, and GrowMore’s server, not the model, matches names, reads quantities, applies your rules and refuses what the agent may not do. What differs is how each assistant talks to you, and whether your plan with it lets it create things.

What stays the same, whichever you pick

  • The same tools and permissions. What the agent may see is what your role sees, narrowed by what you granted the connection.
  • The same reading of your words. When the agent sends “fifty Samsung A56 from Zain Trading”, GrowMore’s server finds the supplier and the item and reads the quantity from your sentence. If two names match, the draft carries an open question instead of a guess, whatever the model would have picked.
  • The same marks on what nobody said. Today’s date, the default warehouse or the shop’s currency is filled in as “assumed, please check”, never silently.
  • The same approval. Every draft waits in AI drafts until a person decides, unless the owner granted a posting key for that kind of document, with a daily amount.
  • The same limits. No deleting a posted document, no editing a posted entry, no changing the lock date, no other shop’s data.
  • The same allowance. Every tool call counts against your plan’s AI agent calls (30 a month on Launch, 100 on Basic, 300 on Professional, 1,000 on Business), whichever model makes it.

What can differ

  • The conversation. How an assistant phrases GrowMore’s question back to you, how much it explains, and how it reports the result.
  • Where you add the connection, and on which plan. ChatGPT lets a connector create things in another app on its business plans. Check your assistant’s own help for where it adds an MCP connection; GrowMore’s address is the same for all of them.
  • The assistant’s own speed and price, which you pay to its maker, not to us.

One sentence, three assistants

Say to any of them: sold three MacBook Air to Wael’s store at 950 each, half cash. The draft in GrowMore is the same whichever assistant sent it: a sales invoice to Wael’s store for three units at 950, with a receipt for half and the rest on the customer’s account. If the shop holds more than three MacBook Air units, the draft asks which three, with the units in stock as the options. No assistant can skip that question by choosing for you.

How we check it

We test the agent by replaying recorded requests against a real shop and judging the books that result, not the sentence the model wrote. A case passes when the right document, with the right party, items, quantities and accounts, is drafted or posted, and nothing else is. Because the reading of names, quantities and accounts happens on our side, a model change does not change what reaches your books.

So which one?

The one you already use and already trust with your other work. If your team uses several, connect each: every connection is listed in Settings › Connected apps, acts only as the person who connected it, and is revoked in one click. If you have none yet, start with the one your team already keeps open all day. Your books will be read the same way.
